Older outputs with newer cards?

I plan on buying a AMD 6850 graphics card and happen to have a old 28 inch CRT TV lying around which happens to have only RCA and coax inputs. My question was whether it is possible to get some sort of RCA output from a desktop to the TV. Anyone know if it is possible to do something like this? I've seen adapters around which are VGA to RCA/svideo but I'm not sure if it works with the AMD 6000 series. Looking at the reviews for those adapters, they are made such that you can connect RCA to a VGA monitor (to view VHS and stuff on a monitor), not output to a TV. Thanks beforehand!

If anyone is wondering why, I want to play my old SNES/NES games I have and emulate them on the TV. The tube TV gives it that nostalgic feeling :) Also its a functioning TV and might as well make some use out of it.

Thanks!
