I am not sure if this is the right section to post this in

I have an Acer Aspire notebook, and a Sharp LCD TV which I am trying to use as a second monitor.

It works just fine with VGA, however, when I hook it up to my laptop via HDMI, something's not right.

It uses it's native resolution of 1920x1080, however, this is what it looks like:

I've looked through all settings on the TV, and none of them fix or help the problem.

I have an Intel video driver, and none of those settings help either. I've tried all other resolutions, none of them work how I need them to. 1920x1080 is the recommended resolution.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this?

I am running Windows 7 64-bit by the way.

Update the video drivers.

I ran the Intel Update Utility and it said that my video drivers could not be updated.

Just go to whoever is the manufacturer of your card's website and try finding the latest drivers.

I already tried that.

It tells me to get the driver from the computer manufacturer, and there are no graphics drivers for my laptop on the Acer website.
