Hi all! :hello:

So I would like to know what you think of this build so far. (have not bought it yet)

Mobo:ASRock AM3 M3A770DE/A/ASR Motherboard Socket S/L 5200MT/S

GPU:Asus 1GB Radeon HD 6850 DirectCU PCI-E 2

RAM:Kingston 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM Memory

Hard drive:Seagate ST31000524AS 3.5 inch Barracuda 1TB GB 7200rpm SATA Drive with 32MB Buffer

For WLAN:TP-Link TL-WN781ND 150Mbps Wireless PCI Express Adapter

Case:Thermaltake V3 Black Edition Chassis with Window/Blue LED Fan/Midi Tower

CPU:AMD HDZ965FBGMBOX Phenom II X4 965 - 3.4 Ghz AM3 Black Edition CPU, Retail Packaged

Optical Drive: LiteOn IHAS122-18 22x Internal SATA DVD-RW BLK OEM

As u probably noticed I did not include PSU in there since I dont know should I buy 600w or 650w (I am adding one HD 6850 later on.)

Q1:Would this build work?

Q2:What how much wattage should my PSU have?

Q3:Can I add the 2nd GPU whit out buying new parts?

Now, I am on a budget but if you have suggestion on switching/getting extra stuff I can use about 100$ more on this.(I'd still rather not :??: )

Sorry for the long post but I'd really want to nail this on the 1st try :ange:

Switch your motherboard with an AM3+ one. The next one offers SLI and Crossfire at 8X / 8X which is the least that you should aim, for a multi GPU setup.

For RAM choose a 1600MHz speed kit. Future proofing without spending much money ;)

Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model KHX1600C9D3B1K2/4GX

955 and 965 is the same CPU, so you can save some $$ by getting the 955

If you can go with a 6870 that would be great..otherwise 6850 can do the job

SAPPHIRE 100314-3L Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

And get this HDD...

For PSU a good 650-700W can easily hold both 6850 or 6870 Crossfire

Thats a great little build you put up Op, nice one

an Am3+ Mobo will allow you to upgrade the chip in future but its non essential in my eyes
and I'd say a decent 700-750w psu, you are going to try overclocking after all :)
