It will perform much better than that !
That card was made for HD resolutions. If you have a 1024 X 768 monitor, and if you're thinking of buying this card, then upgrade your monitor as well to a 1080p one. If you don't feel like getting a better monitor, for now, then I'd get a cheaper card.
