CONNECTING A LAPTOP TO USB PORT IN ARRIS BOX?

Hello,
My desktop is plugged in the Ethernet port on the ARRIS ROUTER I had with Insightbb, now with Comcast.I want to use my new laptop and
would like to know if I should get a new Router,or if I can plug into the USB PORT That is empty? I am Totally a DUMMY4SURE. Thanks.! Dawn

Comcast-supported routers, gateways, and adapters
There is no Arris Router in the list. You should give Comcast a call.
