What graphics card should it take?

Hey Guys!

So, i'm building my first rig, and the parts are as follows:

i7 2600k
Z68x UD5 B3
Corsair 600t w/mesh panel
AX1200w
H80
Corsair Vengeance 8gb RAM
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB
Acer S242hl (24-inch)

So, now i'm looking for a graphics card. Originally i had the ATI Raedon HD 6970 in mind, however after reading a lot about how the nVidia GTX570 was really close behind it, i was just wondering is it really worth it to get the 6970? I'm probably going to buy from Canada Computers, or ncix, my country of origin is Canada. I would be planning to run crossfire/sli later on, but i would probably not be overclocking it. My price range for the graphics card is $500 tops (thats pushing it). So, Should i stick with the 6970 or get another card?

Still goes the same, a GTX 560 Ti is really good at 1980x1080(which is your highest resolution).

And if you are not pleased with it just SLI another 560 Ti, but if you like single's, then I guess you could do the GTX 570.

Trust me, A GTX 560 Ti maxes out almost every game today, except for maybe Crysis 2 DX11 and etc.
