I have one pciex16 slot on a Gigabyte motherboard (GA-78LMT-S2P). Could you suggest a video card for games like bf3 or call of duty. Thanks. Please help me decide on what to get.

OK, AMD Phenom II x4 840 3200 Mhz, Gigabyte MB GA-78MT-S2P, 8 GB ram DDR3 1333, win 7 64-bit, power supply cool max 600 w v600,Samsung 1.5 TB 5400 RPM, Optiarc DVD. I have a 6 pin connection from the power supply that is available. This a budget system but I do believe with a nice video card will allow me to play the newer games with reduced detail. Thanks for your help in finding the right card. My budget for the card would be up to 160 dollars. If you could throw several options at me.

sorry i took long . the 6850 will play battlefeild at a good frame rate heres a good one XFX HD-685X-ZNDC Radeon HD 6850. i suggest you crossfire it later on if you have the money but its still a great card.

But you'll have to use a bridge then because of the one pci slot, maybe go for one 6950 or a 6870.

I picked this one out and already ordered it. Tell me everything is going to be ok and I'll stand a chance of running bf3

I don't know about there returnsbut I know the 550ti can play most games on high settings. however the 6850 is better by 11fps in newer games.

Probably you can return it if you don't open the box.
I really wouldn't want the 550 myself, 6850 or 6870 is much better. Because you can't crossfire easily i would go for the better 6870.

Thank you. I have ordered the XFX HD-685X-ZNDC Radeon HD and got a rma for my card. I told them I have not received or opened the box and want the other. It cost me 11 bucks for restocking but that's my fault for jumping the gun. Thanks for all your help.
