3 long beeps? Any ideas?

Hello, I recently built a computer and when booting up, it doesn't give me a post beep or message. Fans are spinning etc. but no sign of successful boot. I took it apart until only the motherboard and CPU and I get 3 long beeps then reboot, and this happens over and over. When I put in the RAM, I have no beep but still no boot. Any ideas?

  1. well, the 3 long beeps means you have no memory installed or put in the wrong channels. try the MSI troubleshooting website:

  2. I had the same problem and it turned out I hadn't pushed my memory hard enough into the motherboard. I did this and I was able to boot up with no problem.
