Hello,
I have been having problems recently with downloading. Small files download fine, but i was trying to download a 6gb file and 2gb file and the computer freezes completly shortly after starting the download. I was using uTorrent to download 2gb and the computer froze up. I have a phenom cpu, 4gb of ram, wireless connection. This is really a problem.

Also, i cleaned my registry awhile ago and i thought i saved a backup but it's nowhere to be found >:( could a messed up registry be causing the problem?

There are some broadband registry settings that can be changed/deleted, but they should not lock up the computer. What do you mean about the computer freezes? Nothing works, mouse, keyboard, etc...?
