NVIDIA puts the TDP for a reference GTS 450 at 106W

Based on the above, yes your 400 watts PSU (if in good condition) will be able to run this graphics card.

i think its condition is okay. Just one thing, is there any chance of any component getting damaged or not receiving sufficient power. Or is a PSU upgrade is recommended?

No problem with damaging anything. If the PSU does not output the designed power then the computer will blue screen. But in your instance go ahead and try the new video card in your existing system. I don't see any need for a PSU upgrade if the present one will do the job.

depends on the PSU, If its an Antec or seasonic PSU id say YES, if its some cheap no name crap i'd say definitely not.

Since the PSU came with the case I very much doubt that it is Antec, Seasonic, or Corsair.

Yes u can run it happily, unless u don't have a decent cooling system then a little problems will occur, like pcie slot melting, by the gpu's heat. :sol:   :sol:  :D  :sol:

Iball is a generic rebadge of something else, and iball sucks balls. Would not trust that psu as far as i could throw it.

It would also be important to know what other things your computer has. You "MUST" put all your system specs before you ask for help. A computer is not a car model that you can ask if the engine will work ok, its a self made car. In that case asking something wont help you unless you give FULL SYSTEM information.

This includes all pc components running on the PSu, if anything is overclocked or not, and the full specifications on the PSU.

:sol:  :sol:  :sol:  simply buy a 750 watt PSU from cooler master or ANTEC or cosair,it is best to buy a 750w psu for future upgradings and present decent performance and of course latest 750w psu's are energy efficient than Iball psu's, if i say in twitter buy Antec high current psu. here is link for reference
