Since I bought my computer, I've had to deal with this white noise and accompanied by a scratchy chirping noise. I've put up with it for a year now, but it must go. I'm not really sure where to start trying to diagnose this, but I've tried an external soundcard, an audio interface, a soundcard from Fry's, moving my computer, changing outlets and power strips, removing everything else from around my computer with no luck.

I tried to get help from CP, but they just stopped communicating with me after the soundcard suggestion failed to produce results. I'll upload a sound clip to Youtube so you guys can hear what I do. What are some possible things I can try to locate the problem and fix it?

Edit 1 - Specs:
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Gigabyte UD3R
6GB ADATA 1066 RAM
2x 500GB Western Digital Black Caviars in Raid 0 Configuration
2x Nvidia Geforce GTX 470 in SLI Configuration (EVGA)
1000W Corsair PS

Edit 2 - Here's a sample of the sound. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1cjrTpJCQY

Try unplugging the mini speaker on the motherboard. Of course you will not hear the POST beep or other beep codes. If this is the source of the issue, try replacing the speaker.

While you didn't give me the exact answer, your answer gave me the search terms required to get a solution. It turns out this was a known issue with my Gigabyte mobo and a BIOS update fixed it! I'm really glad to finally get rid of that noise because it makes my room much quieter now.

Thanks!
