My serial ATA3 connecter

I just bought a ASRock Z77 Pro3 1155 ATX Intel Motherboard while switching storage devices i disconnected one of the cables from one of the sata3 6gb's connectors. This cable had a metal pin in which you are to depress before disconnecting. I didn't see the pin and pulled, as a result damaged the cable and i thought destroyed the connector. I then inserted a new cable in to test it and it works but i don't get that "snap" your supposed to hear when inserting, but the cable feels snug. How can i fix my sata connector to get it like new? Could i bring to a computer tech? Return it to ASRock?
