Just wondering if you guys think It would be more benefitial getting a GTX 580 over a 570???

I am looking at gettin a Msi Twin Frozr III Power Edition 570 for circa £260 (If it would ever come into stock)

But for around a £100 more I could get a 580 non reference with a decent cooler from E.G. MSI, Gigabyte etc.

So do you guys think It wouild be worth it, I will be goin SLI further down the line so was worried if the MSI 570 is already hard to get hold of now what will happen in 6+ months times when I Maybe want to SLI and can't get another card.

Inputs Opinons and help please guys.

Thanks

"Worth it" is a personal value decision that only you can make. But will you really get better game play - £100 worth? What - if anything - will you forgo to pay for the card?

I'm in the same boat but I think I'm going to opt for the 570. I can get an evga classified for only 340 too so that might have been the winning factor.

It depends on the resolution and games you are playing...A lot of people say "580 is 10% faster but 570 OC'ed will get near or over stock 580". Absolutely true. The problem is, people forget that 580 can be OC'ed too...then you get your 10% back.

Go look some benchmarks from the cards you're looking at, their overclocked performance, etc. I guess that's the better way to know what to get. That 10% might mean those 3-4 fps you need to make it work best for you (as some people don't like playing games under 60 fps...yup).

Anyhow, 570 is the king of bang for buck awards.
