and

G.SKILL Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-1866C10D-16GAB

My Mobo is z77 -V Asus Deluxe
i7 3770K

Solution
Only difference between the two is the heatspreader and frequency.
If the price difference isn't an issue, get the Ares kit. Slight bit faster and a lower heatsperader so you can fit larger heatsinks on the CPU without issue.

both would probably fit i was just wondering which would be better.. and some say ripjaws and some say ares.. thanks i will take that into consideration

mc? Memory Controller?

If given the option of a 2x8GB and a 4x4GB kit to get 16GB of RAM, it is better to take the 2x8GB. It puts less strain on the memory controller, gives a better upgrade path and can take advantage of the dual channel config found on most motherboards.
However, getting the 4x4GB isnt "bad", the performance difference will be minimal and if the upgrade path isn't needed, then there's no benefit there.

Also theres no point in getting 32GB. 16GB is the most you would need on a consumer level system, if an application you are using needs more than that, you should be on the LGA2011 platform.
