I've been reading the forums and looking into some popular component and I wanted to build a gaming PC that would run BF3 at High settings. The PC that i'd like to build would be used mainly for gaming, internet, watching movies and listening to music.

Approximate Purchase Date: Sometime next week

Budget Range: About $1000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming(BF3 and Batman Arkham City), internet, HD movies and music

Parts Not Required: Windows 7, monitor, keyboard and mouse.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, Amazon and Microcenter.

Country of Origin: US(Cali)

Parts Preferences: None

Overclocking:Maybe don't know much about it

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe sometime in the future

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: None

This is what i've come out with

CPU: Intel I5 2500k

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68

GPU: HIS H697F2G2M Radeon HD 6970 2GB

Case and DVD Burner: Corsair 500 R and Lite On Dvd Burner

PSU: CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX850M 850W

Heatsink: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

HDD: Samsung Spinpoint 1TB

Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB 1600

What do you guys think? Any help will be much appreciated.

Well for $1000 here's a few tweaks I would make.
It'll give you roughly the same performance for less or better.
Check out the $850 or $1000 builds here:
