Hey everyone just got done building new computer. plugged it in everything powered on. Then instead of BIOS loading I get an error message. It says dboot error load diskk, or something like thait. I do not have an optical drive attached to the computer. Could this be the problem? I wanted to buy and external drive. Also can I use an external drive on a newly built computer even it the drivers arent loaded? Again im trying to use it on a computer that i just built and plugged in. Thanks

You did not list your hardware, but yes a modern computer allows a boot from USB drive.

Your hard drive is not bootable either I take it, so that is why the message. You need a bootable disk.

Still you should be able to access the BIOS. Unplug the HDD and try again.

ok so I just discovered that when I turn the computer on if I hit delete I can enter BIOS. If I dont hit delete it will load and go to the boot disk error screen. Does this mean everything is running fine?
