Compac Presario vs. HP Pavillion

I have a Compac Presario SR1417CL and someone just gave me a HP Pavillion 91720n. Do you think it is worth it change over to HP. Is it a better computer? They are both old, about 6 years.

nAlso check into this system. This is the place where I've purchased over a dozen refurbished pcs. But only 'manufacturer recertified', nothing else.
