So this is my first time building a PC, since I decided not to buy a pre-built PC.

I did some searching and was able to pick out some parts I thought was good.

Approximate Purchase Date: within a week (or closer the better)

Budget Range: $1300 maximum AFTER rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: pretty much just gaming

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, and speakers. (I need to buy a copy of Windows 7)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: no preference really

Country of Origin: USA

Parts Preferences: whatever gets the job done

Overclocking: NO

SLI or Crossfire: NO

Monitor Resolution: 1680x1050

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And that's about what I've been able to pick out so far.
I plan on buying another hard drive a couple months later and setting up a RAID, but for now 128gb will suffice.

As for the mobo, I have no idea what kind of motherboard to get. Also, I'm not too sure if the PSU I got is that good or not.

Any ideas?

That psu is great. As for the mobo go for the Asrock Z68 Xtreme 4 Gen3as it has Pci-e 3.0 so you can upgrade in future. If you want get an ssd to make use of Intel's Smart Cache technology. If you don't get a small size ssd go for the P67 version of that board.

You want an 850w psu if you plan on pushing two of those 570's and have some headroom left over.
