Anyone help with this?

Each time I have a new PC with realtek audio I ALWAYS have problems!

Win 7 machine, Gigabyte GA-G41M-ES2L Mobo, 6 channel (read cheap) PCI sound card.

Problem, cannot detect anything plugged into the front pink and green (headphones) the mobo onboard pink green and blue work, they ALSO appear on the realtek control panel when plugged in.

What I do not get is the PCI card sockets detected / shown on the realtek manager screen.
(These are pink mic, blue front out, green rear out, orange bass and black centre)
On another pc with a similar set up it detects the fact there is an external soundcard.

Anyone have any ideas?
Looked at bios, don't seem any probs there.

I have done all the usual check box stuff.

Any help appreciated.

Ta, will check the connections later when it's off.

BUT any ideas why I cannot see the extra sockets in the realtek manager popup (like I can on other pC I use)

Agree it's a pain to configure.
