XMP, is it worth it?

Hi everybody,

Is paying an extra £7 on XMP memory worth it (8gb kit)

It will be going on an asrock extreme6 mb with 3570k cpu

  1. XMP stands for intel extreme memory profiles, it is basically preset RAM speeds you can select so that if you plug your RAM into your motherboard and it is not already set in the speed you want, you can enable XMP to set to those settings. Your paying 7 euros for convenience where as if you have any knowledge of the BIOS or computers you can input proper RAM timings, voltages and speed yourself. The choice is yours :)
