What function key do i need to press to use my laptop as a processor only. I want to close down the monitor and connect an external monitor and keyboard.
usually a comination of the "Function" key and one of the numbers across the top. On my laptop the numeric key has what looks like a square / monitor prinetd on it
As far as I know, you just plug in the other components and close the lid. You may have to go into the video control panel and activate the external monitor though. I do not as mine does it automatically.
