Upgrade and New PC

Hi i want to upgrade my current pc video card and then transfer it to my new pc when i have the money.

- I am not going to overclock on either

my current pc specs are

inter core 2 duo e6850
8600gt GPU
2gb ddr2 RAM
4core1333-fullHD Motherboard
OS Vista 64bit
PSU 400w

I am going to get a 850W PSU for my new PC and a GTX 580. i can afford that now so could i add this to current pc and then add it to new pc later?

More about upgrade
  1. Good build but it would be such a shame not to get the 2500k and OC it
  2. what Emelth said.
2500k will give you the ability to oc your cpu with the p67 motherboard and the rest of oc friendly components you're getting.
get a good aftermarket cpu cooler with the core i5 2500k to keep it cool under oc speed. may be something like Thermalright Silver Arrow or a cooler master hyper 212.
  3. you current power supply would not be powerful enough to support a 580, get the psu as well.
