More about full information this
  1. well as your pc you have linked is a LCD tv and not a pc, i am suprised you can even load cod :p . please try and list your specs and i will try and help you.
  2. Thank you sir, now i have updated it :)
  3. Do you have a budget ? as you are going to need more than just a new video card
  4. 50-100 dollars sir, sorry. were not that rich :\
  5. Do you know what graphics card you have ?
  6. yea, Intel(R) g33/g31 Family Chipset
    the 256mb video card
  7. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121426 (should be fine for cod) and most older games
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817170017 (i wouldnt normaly recomend a cheap PSU but with your budget not much choice)
try these two. $102 after rebate. should help you play cod much better. You will have to instal the new power supply as your 250w is not up to the job. sounds complicated but if you take your time and do some reading up it isnt that difficult at all.
  8. hmm, the power supply? you mean the AVR? we got here.

    And for this, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121426
Are you sure this will guarantee me for playing CoD? Even battlefield 3?
  9. BF3 will probably play on it, but at lower settings/resolution
  10. i do not understand your first question. you will be able to play cod which is a 2007 game with that card yes. battlefield 3 which isnt even out yet i doubt becuase of your system spec, but MAYBE at the very lowest settings.
  11. Im thinking of 1gb of video card size..
But i have 50-100 dollars budget, seriously.

the card i linked with the psu is $102 dollars with rebate. u cant afford the $2 ? would u like another cheaper option ?
  13. But, i want to play, CoD mw2, CoD mw, CoD WaW..
    Do you think http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121426
    This can sustain that games?
Does this video card can be supplied with the power energy that my pc does have?
And lastly, can this video card fits in my pc when i attached it?
  14. wow i am surprised you can play Cod MW at all .if you upgrade your psu i might be able to sell you my 9500 gt at 40$ as soon as i upgrade my graphic card , but that is only if you dont mind a bit of a wait.( when i say sell , i mean through ebay.)
  15. it can handle BFBC2 at 30-40 fps at medium settings and should do the same for BF3.
  16. Btw, i have now knowledge >:D,
    I have a DDR2 slot.
And btw, im thinking of 9000 + GT like that. Because of good specs and less price.
And i am now wondering of how "bit" is being implemented in installing it in my pc,
Because i have a 32-bit OS w7 pc, and im getting confused of 256/128 bit video cards? does that affect too in compatibility in my pc?
  17. no , it does not affect compatibility in your PC .
'128/256 bit' refers to 'how much' information can flow simultaneously ( in the case of graphic cards , it is within the graphic card ) , it is also called 'bandwith' . so obviously the card that has 256-bit bandwith will be faster; but you needn't worry about that, as your hardware cannot take advantage of that. And, most graphic cards use the PCIe 2.0 slot . it is a very long slot on your motherboard , typically on the place where it meets the rear of the chassis. if the graphic cards specification states it works in PCIe 2.0 or 2.1 , it should work in yours.

though be careful as most work in PCIe x16 ports and you don't have one.

and btw , if you want to learn about computers , i would recommend peter norton's " Inside The PC. " it may seem confusing at first , but stick with it and soon you will learn almost everything you need to know . also read some of the other threads and try to pick up some slang and understand the acronyms.
  18. if i were you i would go with the 9800gx2+.

For that Graphic card, Though i have a 32-bit OS w7, and it says 128-bit card. Would it fit? Would it perform as it says?
  20. the bandwith has to do with the inside of the graphic card , not the outside and if you have a PCIe 2.0 slot , it will fit.

i cannot guarantee top performance as the rest of your computer will limit the graphic card.

how much did you spend for the whole system anyway , i want to see if you were ripped off.
  21. Whole system? 500$ last 2009 i think.
  22. Btw, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129185
Is that for gaming? Can i use it for playing CoD's? BF's?

It isn't the best for gaming but will play cod and bf, but the performance wont be very good especially for the upcoming bf3, which will most likely play low settings with that card depending on your system specs
  24. Oh, hmm.
What do you prefer a vcard to me? under 70 dollars? please.
    A PCI-e 2.0 Express x16 ok? :) Thanks in advance.

at that budget without upgrading your psu that is pretty much your only option
  26. in case you didn't notice you dont have an x16 port.
  27. if you bought the monitor with the system then i would say maybe you got a good deal.

if it is the CPU only you got ripped off big time.
i bought mine in 2008 for around 6-700$.

since you have found that my specs does not have pci x16
can you find me a good card ? I will really appreciate it.

check the expansion slots on his board, yes he does have a PCIEx16

It says I have PCIEx16, but in the specs i saw i really have BUT it has none available. How is that? :O
  31. its already being used by something.
  32. hyperreader said:

Yes, your slot is being taken up by your current card. Physically look at your board and make sure it is exactly as that picture posted and if so then you are good to go. You will be replacing your current card taking up that slot with the new card
  33. So, i still have PCIE x16 which is 2.0? :>
  34. hOlyhexOr said:

It does not state in the mobo specs, but all 2.0 slots are backwards compatible with 1.0. You need to look at your mobo and see if you actually have the slot on it and see what the etch next to the slot says. that is your best bet in finding out since we have no way of seeing your exact mobo without a pic.
  35. but i thought his current GPU was integrated into the mobo.
  36. Oh, Okay. I will take a picture of my mobo, and i will post it here.
  37. hyperreader said:

thats what we are trying to figure out, but sight unseen with the numbers he has provided he should have a slot available... were trying to find out why it isnt. im thinking maybe an oversight and theres a cheap gpu in there, but we cant tell without a pic if he cant figure it out
  38. Hey, I finally have the pictures, so suggest me now good vcards please.
So can you tell what i have? if i can insert a PCIE x16 2.0 card.
And suggest a good card that i can afford under 80$ :)

you could make a better system from a cereal box and some toothpicks, least you will get 30fps from that
  40. From the Pics you posted you do have a PCI-ex16 slot available for a video card (the brownish slot next to the 966IN printed on the MOBO ) so you would need a PCI-e video card -- the problem is you also only have a 250W Powersupply so will need a low power consuming card or will need to also change the PSU !

You might be able to get by with at most a 5670 like this one for $55 After MIR but it will be pushing the PSU close to its limit (figure this is the best performing card that does not require an external power plug so uses less than 75W and you have a fairly low poer consuming CPU at 65W so it might be OK on your 250W PSU -- but getting a better PSU would be recommended)

    Agreed
  42. Dude! its the 5670 you gave is a PCI E 2.1 :\
And i will find a PSU, im saving money for it. My mom will buy me a vcard and i will take charge of the PSU :)
  43. And im planning to buy a PSU, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182074 Was that worth it?

Btw, do i have some problem in installing PSU? another DDR2 PCI etc problems? :\
  44. you know , you could just buy a local PSU ; i got mine from intex for about 15$ and it served me faithfully for over three years. i have never had a problem with cheap PSU's
when they supply around 450 watts.

Oh, Btw. With the 5670 PCI Express x16 2.1, does it fit to my mobo? and will it perform?
  46. hOlyhexOr said:

Yes, as long as your psu can handle it
  47. There isn't really any difference between a pci-e x 16 2.1 and a pci-e x 16 2.0 slot.
The HD 5670 should do fine on that motherboard.
That Rosewill PSU should also be fine for that GPU.

No, you won't be having any of those problems. :)
  48. Yes yes! Ok my prob now is PSU, hmm, can a 400w should be enough?
