Hello everyone,
I am new to this community. I just purchased thinkpad t430s, but i'd like to purchase aftermarket 8GB*2 memory ram because the ones lenovo offers are ridiculously expensive. Could you guys please give me some suggestions on which memory ram i should get? Is it true that any DDR3 ram will just do fine? I hate having the timing and other stuffs mismatch and having blue screens...
Thank you for your help!

p.s.
some specs about my laptop in case you guys need to know:
Intel Core i7-3520M Processor
320gb hard drive,(plan to change to samsung 840 pro 256gb)
win8.
4GB DDR3 ram

This may be a bit late for you, but just get Crucial memory. I've got it in all my Lenovos and it's great. They have a small app that you can download to determine the exact parts you need. I use them for my Solid State drives and memory. All flawless.

:welcome:

Yes, any DDR3 SODIMM RAM should work but the speed maybe limited. The ideal memory speed would be DDR3-1333MHz. For 16GB upgrade you could go with two 8GB modules.

Note: Make sure your laptop has a 64Bit OS (windows) in order to utilize more than 4GB of memory.

Cheers, mate!! :clin:
