1st Ever Build (Gaming $1500ish AUS) Tags: New Build Systems Last response: October 24, 2011 5:39 AM in Systems Share JarZman October 23, 2011 3:54:56 PM Hi. I'm new to PC building. Have always just store bought but now realize just how little you get for how much you spend. Approximate Purchase Date: Around Christmas time. Budget Range: $1500AUD but am pretty flexible. System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, general internet browsing. Parts Not Required: Hard Drive, RAM, Mouse, Keyboard, Speakers, OS and possibly monitor. Preferred Website(s) for Parts: www.pccasegear.com Country of Origin: Australia Parts Preferences: Intel, Nvidia, I like the look of the Coolermaster cases. Overclocking: Maybe, once I've read up on it and feel comfortable. SLI or Crossfire: Yes, not straight away but later down the track will add another 580. Monitor Resolution: 1680x1050, Additional Comments: Already have a good idea on a few of the parts I want (see below). Not sure on a MoBo, PSU & monitor. Intel Core i5 2500K EVGA GeForce GTX 580 CoolerMaster HAF 932 Case CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ CPU Cooler Subtotal = $980.00 It might also help to know that I'm using 2x4gb Kingston DDR3 / 1333mhz Would appreciate any feedback regarding parts already chosen, compatibility, whether a monitor with a HDMI input is something I should be looking at and any other suggestions. Thanks. I'm gonna go for the CoolerMaster Silent Pro Gold 1000W so ive got some buffer for the SLI and further upgrades. The Z68 looks good so ill get that and I saw this monitor ASUS VH242H 24". Quite like it. Has everything i need so ill most likely pick that one up. | Report abuse Register or log in to remove Ask the community Publish Tom's Hardware>Forum>Systems>1st Ever Build (Gaming $1500ish AUS)> Related ressources: ForumAUS New Build ForumFirst ever build (i7 860) AUS ForumHelp prioritizing 1st Gaming build ForumFirst ever build .
