$1500 build 3d graphics-VUE and Maya 2012

First time I will be building my own rig and am leaning towards AMD, but would certainly welcome Intel suggestions that fit this budget as well. I have all the peripherals so am looking for inside the case (everything from the HD or HDs?/OS on up).

After reading the forum FAQ's let me add the following...

Preferred sites- NewEgg and TigerDirect
No overclocking
SLI/Crossfire possibly down the road-single graphic card for starters
