1866 memory with a 1600 compatible motherboard

I recently bought 1866 memory but failed to realize that my motherboard has only supports up to 1600. Is this ok? Do I have to lower the clock speeds? Or do I have to buy new RAM altogether? Thanks

It is fine it will automatically default down to the boards speed.
