Samsung tv pc mode vga to vga

ok so i have had my custom built pc for 6 or 7 months when i originally bought it i hooked it up with
dvi>hdmi monitor to pc and then
vga>vga pc to tv
i now have the problem that my nor my desktop recognize the vga to tv i think it might be the tv that's faulty as i have gone though so many different combinations and i just cannot get pc mode up on it!
this worked perfectly a few months back
and before anyone says it i have tried
1.going up thought the resolutions
2.enabling 2nd monitor
3.hdmi>hdmi pc to tv
4.vga>hdmi pc to tv

it's pretty frustrating any help would be great!

Check to see what driver version you have for your video card and try to roll back to an earlier version (say one from 6 or 7 months ago).

i've manged to get it going with dvi to hdmi but that's just the tv screen might just buy another dvi to hdmi for my monitor.
it seems samsung's only like certain types of vga like maybe one of 14 or 15 pins any help on that?
also with the dvi to hdmi to my tv the resolution doesn't seem like 1080i as the font of my screen isn't very clear??
