1.5 - that's generally the safe run. Anything more on an Intel chip and you run the risk of damage.

1.5 volts is intel's spec for the cpu's memory IC you could go with 1.6 but that would void the chip's warranty.

edit: if it boots 1333 then enable XMP in the BIOS to get 1600.
