Well, I need to buy a server for a small high school with around 60 computers(40 classes, 20 for department/offices, etc). We won't be hosting the school website or something there and the server will be used simply for internal networking. I asked a local computer store to send me the quotes and he send me details of three servers. I am posting them here. Please help me choose one. The price difference is not much and I am not able to decide which one will be apt for us. The servers and the price for each are as follows:

1. Model X Series x3200 M3 Server
Processor ‐ Intel XEON Quad Core 2.4 GHz
Memory ‐ 4GB
Hard Disk ‐ 2 X 1 TB SATA
Network ‐ Dual 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet Controller with RJ45 Support
Dual Power Supply
Optical Drive DVD‐ROM
18.5” wide Panel Lenovo LCD Monitor
Price: $2206

2. Model X Series x3200 M3 Server
Processor ‐ Intel XEON Quad Core 2.4 GHz
Memory ‐ 4GB
Hard Disk ‐ 2 X 500 GB SATA
Network ‐ Dual 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet Controller with RJ45 Support
Dual Power Supply
Optical Drive DVD‐ROM
18.5” wide Panel Lenovo LCD Monitor
Price: $2112

3. Dell Power Edge T310 Server
Intel Xeon X3450 Xeon CPU, 2.4 GHz
One Broadcom 5716 dual‐port Gigabit
4 GB Memory (RAM)
2 x 300 GB Hard Drive
DVDRW Drive 16x
Dell 17” LCD Monitor
Price: $2387

It would be really nice if someone could reply quickly as we need to set up the computers as soon as possible.

Thank you very much!

What components and software is included with each system? I don't know about the other systems, but the Dell is worth $1,200-$1,400 max. with that configuration; therefore an OS and other components have to be included.
