Hello,
The motherboard in a PC I have crashed. I would like to get the PC running again as cheeply as possible. The mothrboard was a msi MS-7185 socket 939. The processor is 2.20 Ghz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+. The PC is a Powerspec model 9201. I cannot find a MS-7185 mobo so I'm wondering if there is some other mobo on the market that would work or a cheep mobo & processor that I could put in instead.

you'd need an AM2 board an any AM2 board should work. as they don't make those any more you'd need to buy second hand off ebay or something.

Buying a cheap new cpu, ram and motherboard would cost about $120 that will outperform your system so keep that in mind when you buy the motherboard.

he cant use a socket 939 cpu in an am2 motherboard
