Do the motherboards that support AMD phenom cpu's also support the amd a series like A8, A6?

No. Phenom is am3 socket the A,6 and 8 are FM socket.

There are NONE that Support AM3 and FM1 at the same time.
There are NONE that Support AM3+ and FM1 at the same time.
There are NONE that Support AM3 and FM2 at the same time.
There are NONE that Support AM3+ and FM2 at the same time.
There are NONE that Support FM1 and FM2 at the same time.

For all of those configurations the pin arrangment is different and you cannot plug the wrong CPU into the socket because it simply won't go in.
