Hi,

I have a fair amount of computer knowledge, but I'm not sure if a thermaltake tr2 430w psu would be compatible with my pny geforce gt430 pci-e graphics card.

Thermaltake tr2 w0070ruc 430w specification links:

PNY GeForce GT 430
-Minimum 300w or greater system power supply (with a minimum 12 v current rating of 22A)

Thanks in advance! If you need me to add some more information, I'd be more than happy to.
P.S. sorry if this is in the wrong section

Solution
yes your psu will handle it, no it is not any use for gaming. An ati 6670 would be a lot better and should run on that PSU. And just FYI, those thermaltake psu's are prone to blowing up and are not actually 430w, closer to 300w, you can do a LOT better. Stick to PSU brands like Antec, Seasonic, XFX or corsair and you will be getting a power supply that can deliver its rated power.

thanks for your help. I was looking into an antec 500w and will most likely get that. I have read stuff about thermaltake's and just wanted a second opinion. thanks.
