Error when applying GPO

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.customize (More info?)

Ask in the french groups. Why would you think english speakers can read french (and I did study it for 2 years, 33 years ago).

I have an Active Directory Windows 2000 in English and
clients in Windows XP Professional French version.
When I apply a GPO to the clients XP, I get the following

la racine Windows pour diagnostiquer l'application de
stratégie de sécurité.

Source : UserEnv ID Event : 1085
L'extension côté client Security de la stratégie de groupe
n'a pas pu s'exécuter. Vérifiez si des erreurs ont été
reportées plus tôt par cette extension.

Do you know why ? Can I use English GPO to apply on a
French client ?
