System lag?

I have an older system - it seem to have lag issues when I game and was hoping for some help.

Phenom 2 x4 805 processor
Hitachi 721010sla330
8 Gb DDr2 800 I think

what do you mean by "lag" ?

when raiding a lot of time I get video type lag as well as the KB ( G11 ) seems slow to respond '- Also Im only playing everquest so this system should be fine.
