Graphics card compatible with nForce 680i

Any advice on a new card for this motherboard. have been using an 8800gts but this seems to be failing.But not to expensive funds are short.

Not too expensive is pretty vague, how much do you wan to spend? Also what is your power supplies model/rating, screen resolution, and other system specs, and what games do you intend to play?

Any PCI-E card will work on your motherboard.

I have
Vista ultimate
Intel core2 quad @2.4Mhz
PSU 500w
Screen res 1680 x1050

the main games I play are Lord of the Rings online, Company of heroes and strategy games Hearts of Iron3,Pride of Nations etc

GTX 460 1gb, HD 6850, whichever one you find a better deal on would be my recommendation. A step down from them and also good for it's price is the HD 5770/6770.

Personally I would go for the 460, my HTPC has one it plays LOTRO great, the DX 11 water is really cool looking.

I assume you have a Q6600 CPU, you should check out the guide pinned to the top of the overclocking forum here and try and overclock your CPU. People usually get 3.0 out of those chips easy on the stock cooler.
