Hello,

When i go to burn anything to a CD with Img Burn I keep getting an error. The error is saying

"I/O Error!
Device: [2:1:0] ASUS DRW-24B1ST a1.04 (D:)  (ATA)

ScsiStatus: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition

CDB: 2A 00 FF FF FF 6A 00 00 20 00

This error just started, I've never seen it before today; yesterday i was using the burner all day and didn't have any problems.

The Img Burn log is saying

This sounds elementary, but have you shut down the computer fully, checked the cables inside and restarted. Is the burner showing properly in the BIOS?

"Failed to write sectors..." make it seem like you've hit a batch of bad dvd's though it could be a hardwre error or even a virus trying to write itself to the drive. Good thing drives are cheap.

Have you tried a different disc? What about different burning software? One that I use is CDBurnerXP, and it seems good.

I've used different CDs, it seems to read CDs fine. When i set the priority to my img burn to high it seems to start working. I don't know whats up with that... I've used windows media player and it gave me some kind of error (don't remember what it said), I've also tried windows 7's built in iso burner and it gave me an error.

Is there something else hogging either the HDD, memory or CPU?

Is it an IDE burner? if so see if its dropped out of DMA mode.
