Hey community, my heatsink that came with my phenom ii x6 1100t processor's heatsink won't install. My motherboard is am3+ but is compatible with the am3 series. If someone could just tell me step by step of how to do it, that'd be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I had the same issue with my Heatsink on my Sabertooth, it can be tricky. Also if you ever decide to get a bigger and better heatsink (A70 or 50) the installation is easy. u don't even have to take the back of your case off, just slide through the middle of the heatsink and light it up on the contact zone and snap it down.

There were two black things that were what the heatsink was snapping on. For it to work, I had to loosen those up and then latch it on. Then I rescrewed them back on. I hope I didn't place too much stress on the CPU doing so, but it ran fine after I got it externally built.
