I'm using HWMonitor
Could someone explain what the dif. is between the CUP temp and Core temps?
CPU temp seems to be running around 28deg and my 4 core temps are in the low 20's
Which is more important?
Why is the core lower?
Thanks

The CPU reading is the overall temp of the CPU as a whole. Where it says Core 0-3 that's the temp of each individual core.

I'd say that the core temperatures are the most important actually, because they give the temperature inside the CPU core itself, whereas the CPU temp is often measured elsewhere – probably elsewhere on the CPU die or in the CPU packaging.
