I recently finished building my first gaming PC. But on booting the led next to the ram lights up and the motherboard beeps 4 times and it doesn't POST so i can make any bios tweaks to fix it. From what i have read this appears to be system timer failure, so how do i fix it? I have checked all the connections on the motherboard at least 30 times, i have cleared the CMOS several times too, i have replaced the CMOS battery with a new one, i have booted with one module of ram in every DIMM slot to confirm they all work and i have removed all unnecessary components. In short i have tried almost all the fixes i could find and have got absolutely nowhere. Anyway i don't have an ideas left other then the motherboard is dead or the ram is, so any help would be much appreciated.

Ok i just tried flash bios but because it doesn't boot in the first place i couldn't do anything. Any other ideas?
You need a different CPU that is supported by the board's BIOS. Otherwise the system will not POST and you'll not be able to get to BIOS in order to flash it. Try at a local shop, or contact your reseller.
