Heres a link to my mobo -

I found a great deal on 2 8GB DDR2-667 PC2 5300 DIMM AXIOM Memory 2Rx4 sticks.

My question is, if it is compatible and also, my mobo says it only will work up to 8gb would i be better off only plugging in 1 card or plugging in 2 for the dual channel?

Dual channel all the way. I had 4GB in my motherboard before on a single module and performance was good, but when I went with dual channel, the performance was so much better. Everything is faster and more responsive, I literally mean everything.

It might work but the spec of your board states 8 gig max. You would be better off getting a 2x4gb kit that runs at 1066 or 1200. Right now windows and most games and programs will never use more than 6 or so gigs, so 16 will give you no performance increase. Unless of course you have a special cad or engenering program that can use 16 gb.
