ATX PSU connector Problem

I just bought a new PSU the new PSU has a BIG 24pin ATX connector. My motherboard has a Small 24pin ATX connector. Is there a converter i can buy or do i have to get a new PSU with a small 24pin ATX connector on it?

Its in my HP Pavilion Slimline. Looking at the motherboard right now and not sure where it identifies what type it is

Are you sure the mobo isn't a 20pin?
Quality modern psu's have 20+4 pin power connectors.

Im not sure, You tell me. Im a bit confused.
You know what my motherboard looks like. Now here is my NEW PSU im trying to connect to it.

All these connectors are wrapped in mesh. Which i believe is ID'ing them as POWER connectors. Big 24pin, 6pin and 2 4pin connectors. THIS IS ONLY WHAT I THINK. You may know more.

From reading the Newegg feedback regarding that psu,users have referred to the fact you need an adapter for HP slimline pc.
Also makes sense that the adapters i linked even exists.
This obviously points to the fact you need an adapter.

Mine is a 24pin/20+4pin ATX to small 24pin ATX.
Will it fit? and will it affect anything?

Personally i think it work just fine.
Seems to be the solution for your dilemma.
Looks purpose built to me.
