Will replacing the chipset fan fix my motherboard post issue

I have a A8N5X motherboard and one day it froze on me I cut off and turned it back on and it didn't post. I thought at first it was my graphics card I bought a new one and it didn't work then I notice the North bridge chipset fan was loose I took it off and it was in terrible shape and the thermal paste on the chip was dried up.
So can buying a new chipset fan will fix this or is my motherboard gone
