Hi all,

I've begun doing some hobby-type video processing and am finding my system up to the task, but just barely. My thoughts are to to upgrade to a 1MB Graphics Card, and perhaps adding some RAM. What I want to avoid is the domino effect of then having to upgrade my PSU and Mobo to accomodate the upgrades. I'll soon find myself just building a new system :ouch: , and I don't have the budget for that.

Here is my system:

Mobo: Gigabyte MA785GMT-UD2H
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 B50 Processor 3.42 GHz
GPU ATI Radeon HD 4770
RAM: 6 GB DDR3 Ram
Power: Cooler Master Glite 460w
OS: Windows 64 bit

This was my first build, so still a relative newbie. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

Solution
Upgrade to 8 GB RAM if possible and look into a geforce gtx 550 for around $130 or go up to the 560 for $190.
Tip: Include a budget next time.

I agree! Many others agree also because of many good things. Driver support, Customer service, and friendly community. If you can not find an answer here you'r sure to get one from them.

Except for what happened with my 280 I've had pretty good luck with EVGA so far, but for ATI/AMD I like Sapphire and XFX the best - never really had problems with either of them.
