Is my motherboard slowing my computer down

i have a GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD3 and i want to upgrade to a asus maximus iv gene-z. my computer is currently overclocked to 4.2ghz will i see a differnce in speed with the asus board at the same clock speed

I have the Maximus IV Gene-Z board.
About the only difference you'll see is when you open your case and look at the motherboard. Depending upon your CPU and cooling solution, I'd think you can get more out of the Gigabyte board without needing to replace it.
