Hi there,

I'm trying to add another 8 GB RAM (or more if possible) to my existing configuration but I am unsure what RAM will work with my current configuration. So i thought why not to ask the experts? :D

This is my current hardware configuration:

- ASUS MAXIMUS IV EXTREME LGA 1155 Rebublic of Gamers Intel P67 DDR3 2400 ATX Motherboard:

- Corsair Memory 8 GB (2 x 4GB) Memory Kit for Intel Core i7 8 Dual Channel Kit 2000MHz (PC3 16000) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM (CMT8GX3M2A2000C9)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0047IKHDG/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00
- Intel Core i7-2600K Quad-Core Processor 3.4 Ghz 8 MB Cache LGA 1155 - BX80623I72600K
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004FA8NOQ/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&redirect=true

I tried to buy the same pair of CORSAIR sticks but they seem to be out of stock or where founded the price is just too high.

Thanks in advance :)

I guess everything will go as long as the RAM has the same speed as the sticks you have installed. I for example have installed on a test machine Kingston Ram and OCZ ram. Where the OCZ ram is 2 GB sticks at 1333 MHz and the Kingston is 4 GB sticks at 16000MHz and I didn't have any issues, the only downside is that they run at the lowest sped which is the 1333 MHz from the OCZ sticks. Just buy sicks of RAM with the same speed that you have now which from your hardware is 2000MHz

Cheers
