Hey guys, so I'm planning on getting the HD 6670, more or less a budget gaming card.
In comparison how well does it bode against a GT 240,

If so which card is a 6670 comparable to (nvidia)
How well will it run BCBF2 Med settings 60fps? possibly? :D
And will will a Phenom II x3 2.8 ghz bottle next this card?

More about : 6670

What is all of the specs that your looking at?
What is your budget for all parts or for the GPU?

I'm just looking for a card that is able to run this card at decent frames (60+) from Med-low to Med-high settings on FPS games and some other games.
My budget was below 400$ but i wanted to get other stuff too so i had to drop it down to 300$.

With the cost of everything i ended with about 289$ or so

System Specs:
Phenom II x3 BE 2.8 Ghz (might OC to 3.0 if i'm not satisfied)
380w Earthwatts
Sapphire HD 6670 (79.99 for gddr3 version)
212 + cooler
4gb Gskill ram stick.

if it doesn't bottleneck, i just wanted to know how well will the 6670 perform on these kind of games over all at those settings.

Personally I'd not buy the 212 cooler and use the funds to buy a better GPU. I'm assuming your buying the CPU/PSU/GPU/RAM with the $289??

Here is what I'd buy with ~$300:
CPU - $80 shipped!! Best CPU for the $ on a tight budget.
AMD Athlon II X3 455 Rana 3.3GHz 3 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor ADX455WFGMBOX

PSU - $60 - $10 Promo - $20 MIR = $30!!! Best deal on a good PSU!!
Antec NEO ECO 620C 620W Continuous Power ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply

GPU - $127 - $20 MIR = $107!! There are some better deals, but this gives you an idea. Much better than the 6670!
SAPPHIRE 100328L Radeon HD 6770 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

RAM - $35 shipped!! Could go up to 8 GB for $50 too!
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL

Total with these parts ~$302 - $10 Promo - $40 MIR's = $252!!!

It's up to you, but the Athlon II x3 at 3.3 Ghz is plenty powerful on a tight budget. You might get lucky and unlock to an x4 so there is possibilities that might make things better! It's important to have upgrade paths too, so that is why I suggested the bigger PSU w/2 x PCI-e power connectors (1 x 6 pin and 1 x 6+2 pin (8 pin)). The extra PCI-e power connector can later be used with a more powerful GPU (if needed). By having a more powerful PSU now, you probably won't need to upgrade the PSU later, thus saving $ in the long run :) .

The more GPU you can get now, the longer your system will last as far as gaming is concerned. Tom's has had the Athlon II x3 450/455 on the best gaming CPU for the $ for quite some time, so it only makes sense to consider it on a tight budget.

Lunyone's ideas are all good, but tell us what you already bought. I noticed that the X3 720BE is only available in a combo right now. I didn't see if the 212+ was available with it, but the almost identical Xigmatek Gaia combos with it for $95: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?Ite...

6670 is roughly 10-15% faster than GT 240 if you are using the GDDR5 version. I would expect the DDR3 to be slower than the GT 240, especially at higher resolutions or higher texture detail.

Perhaps look around for something better if you want 60fps. Some places were selling GTX 460 768 for $89 after MIR (Zotac brand I believe), but don't confuse it with the 1Gb version.

nope. HD 6670 is roughly 25-35% than gt 440 and if 6670 have gddr5 on board, then it is near to gts 450
this card much faster than gt 240 (more than 50% i guess)
sorry for my garbage language)

  where do u get ur facts?
a GX 240 GDDR5 cant even beat a HD5670 GDDR3 . let alone a HD6670 that is 10-15% faster than the HD5670,
and have u noticed that a GT 440 is even slower than a GT 240

FWIW, a couple weeks ago I tested a HD6670 (GDDR5 version) at 1920x1080. All of my admittedly older games (e.g. Guild Wars, UT2K4) were maxed, and pegged the refresh rate. Obviously it wouldn't do that on newer games, but the card is definitely competent, especially if you're willing to lower some settings.

Hyper 212+ cooler, Btw I had a discount on this cooler because my cousin sold it to me in brand new retail box.

And I'm not all that worried about a higher end graphics card, I'll upgrade when i find my self another job during the school y ear hahas. For now I just want to play on Low settings <60 Fps or med settings <60Fps at 1440x900 resolutions.

Oh and i bought the Phenom II x3 720 BE before it went into "Combo" mode, so it's coming in soon.

The reason my budget was so low is because my limit on my card atm is 400, and i had to buy some stuff to wear/ stuff for my sport during the season.

Hmmm, that mobo will hold you back with only 2000MT/s, and a single RAM stick won't operate in dual channel mode. It should do well enough at the lowered settings you're apparently willing to accept, but you will likely want to upgrade or replace just about everything sooner or later. The exception might be the CPU, if it unlocks.
