win98 and pentium 4

does anyone know of any reason why a p4 (asus p4te 1.7ghz) would be unstable with windows 98? if so, know any fixes? i'm having a few "strange" problems.. although my machine HAS been running fine for about 2 monthes now... suddenly strange things happen.

AMD technology + Intel technology = Intel/AMD Pentathlon IV; the <b>ULTIMATE</b> PC processor

There are many things that can cause Win98 to become unstable; but just having a combination of a P4 processor and Win98 isn't one of them.
