Problem with Partiontiong

Hello>>
One of my Friends seprated his HD into 5 Partitions, but in Windows he only see C:?

He used FDISK, when he renter FDISK he see the partitions but not in Windows.

Any help appriciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

Following up, to do that, on DOS prompt, type in format d:, format e:...etc. as separate commands.

When you create an extended dos partition and then create logical drives it is esentially the same thing...as the other post suggest you may need to format, however I suspect he did do something wrong...they still should show up in windows albeit they would be unusable until you formated them. Seeing how you have already have a working partition you can format them from within windows. IF they are not showing up you will have to start all over again.

A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing!

As Arrow says, If your friend didnt format any of the other drives then windows would only see the 1 formatted one, If you have a 10g hdd partitioned 5 ways and only 1 drive formatted then win thinks you only have a 2g hdd, Format it in FAT32, the same as the other one

Yes, he format all of them but still can't see them in windows. The good suggestion is to start over again.
