Asus P8Z77-M boot issue

powers up to bios then shuts off. what is going on? i have checked everythings connected right

No one likes to hear this, but when you have scenarios like this the first thing you need to do is break the unit down to the bare minimum needed for POST. If that works, then you add components back in, one at a time, testing thoroughly before adding another component. Then you will either find the problem part or everything works, so win-win. If it doesn't work even in a bare minimum config, then you have narrowed it down to a very small number of parts.

I tried using the on board graphics it turned on and was able to boot thanks anyways
